ABOUT ME
Dr Aditya Raj is a faculty in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Patna (IITP), Bihar. His teaching and research interests are around education, migration, development, and qualitative research. He has completed his PhD, as a Commonwealth Fellow, from McGill University in 2007, and was at the University of British Columbia before joining IITP in May 2010. Dr Aditya has an interdiciplainary background with degrees in History (BA, Delhi University), Journalism (Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan), Sociology (MA, Jamia Millia Islamia), and Sociology of Education (MPhil, Jawaharlal Nehru University). Dr Aditya has published in national and international avenues of repute. He was the recepient of M. N. Srinivas Memorial Prize 2013 for best publication by a Sociologist or Social Anthropologist in the year, Indian Sociological Society. He did his schooling from St-Xavier's School, Sahebganj and intermediate from Science College Patna.
