Dr. Ajay has received his M. Tech. and Ph. D. degree from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in 2008 and 2013 respectively. He joined Mechanical Engineering department, IIT Patna in 2022 as Associate Professor. Before joining IIT Patna, he was working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, Mangalore, since 2009. His area of research includes supercritical fluids, heat transfer, CFD, bio heat transfer, solar energy, I. C. engines, and Refrigeration & Air conditioning. He has published more than 100 research articles in journals and conferences. He has supervised 8 PhD students and 22 MTech students. He has received 06 sponsored projects under various funding agencies such as DST, SERB, VGST etc. Before joining to NITK, he served Indian Navy for 07 years where he worked on IC Engines, Steam power plant, Gas turbines, Refrigeration and air conditioning, pumps and compressors etc..
