Indian Institute of Technology Patna campus is essentially a mini township developed on 501 acre of land in Bihta which is 35 km from Patna the capital of Bihar. IIT Patna Bihta campus is mainly divided into three zones. They are

• Hostel Zone
• Residential Zone

IWD is primarily responsible for maintenance of capital assets and providing the following services to the campus community.

• Civil and Electrical
• Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC)
• Water Supply and Sewage Treatment
• Landscaping
