Ongoing research includes design and synthesis of metallo-supramolecular networks (Metal-Organic Frameworks - MOFs), development of new heterogeneous catalysts and methodologies for organic transformations, target and diversity oriented synthesis of biologically important natural compounds with emphasis on novel multicomponent reactions (MCRs), high resolution Spectroscopy, Bio-Spectroscopy, Spectroscopy of Ions, Spectroscopy of organic solutes in Ionic liquids and applications to explore optical properties of Ionic liquids and their characterization, development of smart polymeric materials, Thermoplastic Elastomers, Polymer blends and Nanocomposites, study of DNA damage repair mechanism and DNA-self assembly to produce Nanoscale constructs.
